State Disclosures

GENERAL CHARITABLE-SOLICITATION DISCLOSURE — Global Donors Foundation is a US-incorporated nonstock nonprofit corporation organized under Delaware law. 501(c)(3) determination is pending. Donations made through this site or via communications referencing this site are not yet tax-deductible as charitable contributions until IRS determination; donors who require tax-deductible status today should consult their advisors and consider waiting until determination evidence is on file. After determination, GDF will update donor-facing deductibility guidance with the final IRS and counsel-reviewed status context.

State-specific disclosures

Several US states require charitable organizations soliciting donations from their residents to register with the state and to publish state-specific disclosure language at the point of solicitation. Global Donors Foundation's /donate route ships in Phase 0 as a structured surface ahead of payment processing (which lands in a subsequent release per the Phase 0 sequence). Donors residing in states with registration requirements will see jurisdiction-specific language at /legal/state-disclosures/{state-code} BEFORE any payment can be authorized; until payment processing is live, the /donate page itself does not enable transactions in any state. Until payment processing is live, Global Donors Foundation will not actively solicit (advertise, email, target) donations from residents of any registration-required state, and any future correspondence will honor that state's registration status.

Some interpretations of the Charleston Principles treat a public 501(c)(3) website as itself constituting solicitation. We acknowledge that interpretation; registration in the priority states (California, Hawaii, Nevada, Washington, Illinois, Texas, New York, New Jersey, Florida, Virginia — chosen for their significant Filipino-American populations) is sequenced behind the donation surface launch and ahead of any active fundraising campaign in those jurisdictions. Donors who reside in those states and who wish to verify our registration status before any future giving may request our registration record at the contact channel on the Contact page.

Financial information availability

Once Global Donors Foundation has filed Form 990 with the IRS (the first filing deadline is the 15th day of the 5th month after the end of the tax year), the Form will be available on our Transparency page and via standard public sources (IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search, ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer, GuideStar). Until then, financial information is being assembled and the absence of a published Form 990 reflects an organization that has not yet completed its first reporting period — not a withholding of available information.

Donor right to information

Every donor has the right to:

• Know how their donation is being used and what proportion goes to programs versus operations;
• Receive a copy of Global Donors Foundation's most recent financial filings and audit results, when available;
• Request to be removed from any future solicitation communications;
• Lodge a complaint about any solicitation practice with the relevant state attorney general.
